So far I read till sage/rings/polynomial/laurent_polynomial_ring.py in the
order that the patch is printed. Only one issue here:
in free_module_homspace.py l.128 (new counting) a doctest is missing that
checks that passing a function works fine.
Simon, if you rebase this, could you also upload a diff file for the new
and old patch? That would make my and possibly the life of all others
easier.

PS: I am still building 4.7, so I haven't run any tests yet.
