Comment:
It turns out the unpickling problems can be sorted out by ensuring that
{{{ sage.modular.arithgroup.arithgroup_perm.ArithmeticSubgroup_Permutation
}}} can be called with two positional arguments corresponding to L and R.
All tests now pass on my system.
