Now symmetrica is playing up; with (it seems) a missing link to "-lm" (it
complains about missing 'cos'). It is possible that this is because I am
building against the development branch of Ubuntu 10.10 . It would seem
strange to me that this would be the case, though; given that it has not
come up in compiling the other components of sage.
Anyway, I shall upload the log of singular in case it reveals something
useful to you.
