Great! Concerning "blame": I have never user "hg blame". Do you know how
it works? Perhaps it could help to find out what patches between
sage-4.7.1.rc1 and sage-4.7.1.rc2 have altered the init method of
pari_gen. Or perhaps it is easier to look up the list of patches merged
into rc2.
