Yep, your patch looks nice. Probably I would have done
{{{
self.PARI_ZERO = self.new_gen_noclear(gen_0)
self.PARI_ZERO._parent = self
}}}
but I think that'll work as well.
Jeroen, are you able to reproduce the segfault when only my patch is
applied? Then perhaps you could review Volker's patch. To me, it seems
reasonable that it fixes the problem, but I can not reproduce the problem.
