Thanks for testing. Paul, could you add the new example to the tests?
You can use exactly the code I provided though the line

sage: L = P.curve().period_lattice(K.embeddings(ComplexField(1000))[0])
}}}
can be omitted for the reasons I explained (the lattice only needs to be
defined once, with no precision specified).
