Well, smells more as if `--without-dynamic-kernel` does no longer work...
(which we pass on any OS but Linux)

Regarding the ELF fix, cf. [comment:ticket:10810:5 this comment]...
(I also thought Alexander's fix was already incorporated into the p0
spkg.)
