So what should we do? How hard is it to identify the differences between
the two packages (2011-11-07 and 2011-11-15)? Then we could turn those
differences into patches, and either build the earlier package on all
platforms except Lion and apply the patches to build on Lion, or else
apply the patches on all platforms except OS X 10.4 PPC.
(If this sounds like a good idea, I can't help much: I know nothing about
git, and I also don't have a lot of time to work on this right now.)
