 I had a look at the code, and I think it would be quite some work to
 rewrite sage/rings/polynomial/polynomial_template.pxi so that cparent (I
 guess that is what we really want) is not (only) stored as an attribute of
 the parent but mainly as a cdef attribute of a polynomial.

 I think I have currently no resources to spare, and better focus on the
 project I'm getting money for. So, for now, I leave it like this.
