adding new functions. This way we wouldn't have to fix the random tests
like this in every ticket that adds a new function, just *once* per
release.
I think that would be making it more complicated for yourself and for
reviewers. It also means that, if just one of those tickets has a
problem, none of them can be merged. But I'm not against your suggestion.
