 +1 on getting it merged in 5.0, that is as soon as possible! As it is, it
 already helps much improving the Sage documentation, and it can be
 improved later. Besides, we want to use it for working with the Sage-
 Combinat patches, but it's a pain to have it in the queue since it forces
 recompiling all the documentation.

 I have been through the patch, and it looks reasonnable, though I am not
 by far a Sphinx expert. Just a detail: several of the functions do not
 have doctests. Now I am not sure if it is anyway really possible to
 doctest them; if not, I guess that's ok as is.

 Andrei or John: would you agree to put a positive review?
