 I'm finally trying to add some doc to this ticket and realized that in the
 matrix.action file you state the usual laius about underlying sets
 eventually getting garbage collected.

 However, this is not the case in your examples, for the good reason that
 matrix spaces are cached.

 I'll try to provide an example where matrices act on something not cached,
 and we won a new ticket where your constructions should be used to cache
 objects :)
