Thanks for your review, David. This patch was my first on Sage Trac and
i've since learned a lot, thanks to the constructive feedback of fellow
Sagers such as yourself.
Since amgf.py was somewhat of a code bomb, i decided to split it up into
simpler pieces, submit those pieces, and, once they get accepted,
recombine them. If you or anyone else would like to help me in this
endeavor, check out the latest amgf piece at
http://trac.sagemath.org/sage_trac/ticket/12417.
