 Note that apparently it is needed to set something like `--libdir` in the
 configuration of one or the other package: When I tried to use the gcc
 spkg on another computer (not `openSuse` this time), the gfan spkg did not
 build, because libstdc++ was looked for in `/usr/lib64` rather than in
 `$SAGE_LOCAL/lib`, where it can be found.
