(Compilation btw. took about 90 seconds, on a slow filesystem, with four
jobs on a 2.4 GHz dual-core).
Same with FSF GCC 4.6.3 (while the compilation -- on the same machine --
took about 40 seconds longer; on the other hand, the test suite ran
slightly faster).
