 OK, so openssl headers need to be listed as a dependency for building Sage
 from source.
 It is trivial in the sense that installing these headers is trivial (for a
 root).
 While I understand that sysadmins might be slow, or picky (at the place I
 did my PhD at, the sysadmin only replied to emails which had "BEER"
 mentioned in the subject---I'm not kidding!), I cannot imagine this being
 hard to overcome...

 Looks like a bug in openssl spkg (or in whatever place that need to
