 In cluster algebras 2, beginning of section 6, Fomin and Zelevinsky point
 out that they are using the transpose of the Bourbaki convention for
 associating a root system to a Cartan matrix (and that the convention they
 are using is consistent with Kac).  So it looks like the choice of
 convention that you & Nicolas were following in consistent with F&Z, and
 Kac, and transposed compared to Bourbaki.

 I think it would be good to add a note to this effect to the documentation
 for the cartan_matrix of a !CartanType, and probably also for the
 cartan_matrix of a !QuiverMutationType.
