This is because the postinstall script from the Cygwin gcc4-core package
is broken.
I've posted additional details on the CygwinPort page.
You'll have to tweak the /usr/bin/libtool file yourself for now, replacing
4.3.4 by 4.5.3 (or reinstalling version 4.3.4 of gcc4 package).
