I received a patch from the upstream developers, to be included in
gap-4.5.6. I've updated the gap spkg with the fix, now the Sage testsuite
runs without errors. I also updated the gap_packages spkg with a fix for a
function name clash in braid-1.1 that broke the GAP testsuite (i.e.
SAGE_CHECK=yes). So as far as I'm concerned we are good to go.
I would appreciate a speedy review of this ticket *nudge* *nudge*
