 First of all: reviewing a ticket is mainly about looking at the patch and
 checking that it makes sense.

 If `eclib` uses PARI to do root-finding over the complex numbers, then
 yes, it could affect `eclib`.  However, assuming `eclib` does dynamic
 linking, then it's not required to actually recompile `eclib`.  The
 upgraded PARI would automatically be used by `eclib`.

 So, for a ticket like this, I would suggest to run ''all'' doctests in
 Sage (root-finding affects many things) but I don't think a full rebuild
 is needed.

 In any case, any failures would be caught by the Buildbot.  So the worst
 that can happen is that you waste the time of the release manager and
 possibly anger him slightly if the failure is particularly obvious (e.g.
 if somebody edits file X and there are doctests failures in file X, then
 the author/reviewer did not do their due diligence).
