I don't think it is an error as much as it is a characteristic of  
running curnits.  These ran just fine a few minutes earlier in my  
hotel room, and the curnits themselves were running (e.g. the VLE) -  
just, when I came back to the model step it somehow decided it needed  
to check in with the server, even though I had made sure to download  
and open the model beforehand, so that it would be loaded in memory.
