I started working on wedav access to the jackrabbit repository yesterday. I think David was working on this, but I couldn't find any documentation about it.
I created this page: http://wiki.apache.org/jackrabbit/HowtoSpi2Dav That has my notes on getting it setup. As the page says I don't have it fully working so there might be some missing steps. I also found that the jcr2spi layer doesn't follow the jsr 170 spec completely. I submitted a bug about my finding: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/JCR-1614 I'll probably try hacking the jcr2spi code to see if I can get something work.
