Even Puu gets away from her Time Gate every once in a while. . .
although, granted, it's not recommended, since bad things can happen if she
does :-P . . . But if she can get away every now and again, why couldn't
they? It also seems weird to me to think they might never have met, since
it's hard to team up with people you don't know. Although, granted, I don't
know that much about the manga, since I've been largely avoiding it all this
time. . . but it doesn't make sense to keep them all separate. I mean,
something attacks Pluto, so Puu's gotta try to fight it off all alone!
Whoops, nope, she just died. Okay, Neptune's the next world in line, let's
see if she can do it! Whoops, nope, sorry again. . . Maybe Uranus? Yeah,
I find it more plausible they would have at least some contact and teamwork
with one another, just probably not so much with Usagi-tachi. Whether there
was room for romance in that era or not, I'm not sure. But the idea of an
illicit romance-- sneaking around, meeting late at night, knowing it would
be trouble if anyone knew-- really appeals to me, so I'll go with that ^_^ .
Again, my manga-type knowledge is limited, but at least in the anime, I
definitely think Haruka-sama remembered Michiru. . . at least
subconsciously. . . How could she have had such detailed dreams involving
her, seeing her face, her hair, her clothes, hearing her voice, everything
in perfect detail, if they'd never met? No way was Michiru psychically
projecting herself into her dreams, since she's never been known to have
that kind of power. Some degree of precognition, yes-- she can vaguely feel
when danger is coming, though she can't always tell what or where. Possibly
some low degree of empathy and/or mind-reading-- she does seem to know what
Haruka-sama is thinking or feeling-- although that could easily be explained
by the strong bond between partners/lovers. I've never seen an instance
where she planted a thought or image into someone else's mind, though.
I wrote (bad -_-; ) Michiru stalker poetry once, which was both creepy
and romantic, in its own way. . . So, yes, the stalker angle has occurred
to me. I don't agree that Haruka-sama should've run screaming or something,
though, because Michiru had just done probably the kindest and most
unselfish thing anyone had ever done for her. I mean, not only did Michiru
try to let her keep her normal life in spite of the mission, but she was
willing to be badly injured defending her, even if the injuries might affect
her playing. I think such a show of love and devotion could easily make up
for/forgive a lot of the stalker overtones. I'm sure the fact it came from
a beautiful girl couldn't hurt, either, since pretty girls are one of her
weaknesses ^_^ .
Whether Michiru was gay before Haruka-sama or not. . . well, I
definitely believe we're born with our sexual preferences already in place,
even if it takes many years to figure it out. I could see Michiru as the
type who would take a while to figure it out, so I doubt she chased any
other girls before Haruka-sama. I think she either didn't show interest in
anyone before her, or maybe tried to chase boys 'cause it was expected. . .
but either way, the moment she saw Haruka-sama, she was smitten, I'm sure
^_^ . (The same thing happened to me ^_^ !) Haruka-sama is the type, I
think, who got in trouble in kindergarten for kissing little girls on the
playground ^_^ . She's probably known she was gay all her life, whether or
not she felt able to admit it to others. . . and when she hasn't felt able
to admit it, I think it's more worry over societal reactions (or worry it
might make Michiru uncomfortable if others knew?) rather than any discomfort
on her part.
