Prof. Madhu Kapani is an ardent devotee of Bhagawan. She relinquished her 
government job and joined SSSIHL, Anantapur campus in 1986 on the command of 
Bhagawan Baba. On 22 Nov 1990, Swami awarded her with a meritorious gold medal 
and PhD degree in the area of Education in Human Values. Presently, Ms. Kapani 
holds many crucial administrative posts in the institute such as Head, 
Department of Education; Dean, Faculty of Economics and Humanities; and member 
of the Board of Management Committee, Planning & Monitoring Board, Internal 
Quality Assurance Committee, and Academic Council. 


In addition to these, Prof. Kapani is a member of the National Accreditation 
and Assessment Committee (NAAC); and member of Teacher Education Resource Group 
by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD). Her contribution to the 
academic field is noteworthy. She has conducted a series of workshops for 
teachers and presented papers in many national and international conferences 
and seminars on value based education. She has written modules for 
International Diploma Course in Guidance & Counseling organized by the National 
Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) and a module in M.Ed 
course for the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU). Prof. Kapani 
also authored a book titled ‘Education in Human Values’.
