Story behind this photo – 133 . Lord Ganesha atop Super Specialty Hospital.
The final touches were going on in the Super Specialty Hospital, Whitefield, Bangalore. Swami was staying in Thryaee Brindavanam, and the Hospital scheduled to be opened very soon.. Many Sai devotees had arrived there hoping Swami will give permission to perform the Annual Padhuga Pooja in Whitefield. But for reasons known only to Him, Bhagavan directed Sri. Srinivasan Chettiar to perform the Padhuga Pooja in Sai Ananda Nilayam, Madurai. Swami created Vibhuthi and gave it to Sri. Chettiar, with instruction to depart from there. Next day morning, we did not go for darshan. Some overseas devotees wished to see the Super Specialty Hospital. Chettiar took all those devotees as a group to the Hospital site, where hectic activities were going on. When we went we saw a crane in position in front of the Hospital building. A large Idol of Lord Ganesha was there on the ground. We understood that this Idol is to be lifted to higher place for installation. But we did not find arrangements for any rituals for this installation. We climbed up to the terrace. There was a bigger Mandap in the center of front portion, where the Idol would be installed. Our group gathered there. The overseas devotees from Jhakarta sang some Ganesha bhajans. As the Idol was being lifted by the crane, our Sai friend Sri Srinivasa Raghavan, took out a book and started reading some stanzas from Vedas. From our packets, we collected some coins. Chettiar took out the Vibhuthi materialized by Bhagavan the previous day, and along with the coins, were deposited on the base, where the Idol was carefully lowered and fixed. We were happy to realize that Swami had sent us there in time to witness this event and also play a small part in the installation of Lord Ganesh. With Love & Regards., Mumbai Srinivasan.
