Hello Fred, If there is an inverter installed or if the modem is connected through the UPS, will the modem be affected with electricity glitches. Can anyone advise? Maybe Ashley?
I face the same problem with my BSNL broad band connection at Pune (especially over the last 2 months). I use a laptop and do not have an inverter nor is the modem connected through the UPS. In Pune, with the BSNL broadband connection, we also have the facility of receiving TV channels (to our TV) through the same modem. Here we are currently supplied 104 channels (digital). But here again, because of the glitches, the TV programmes can freeze for a few seconds. And on certain days it is more frquent. The advantage of TV channel connection through BSNL broad band is that the charges come together with the phone bill avoiding the need of paying separate bills. The disadvantages are the glitches or if your BSNL phone line is out of service you may miss out on some of your favourite TV programmes.
