Dear All,

It is a great loss to all of us, the sad demise of our neighbour Aunty Ida. She
as well uncle Valu will always be rememebered as fond neighbours who worked and
envolved with the Donvado and the saligão comunity. I was sad when I heard
about her illness and was moved also when I visited Aunty Ida. I can only say
that she bore the suffering with a lot of courage and love. May her soul rest
in peace.

Our hearthfelt condolences go to to Marjorie, Jennifer, allan and families.
Hope God gives them the grace to accept God's call, remember the good
achevements and gain an inner strength to continue their good work.

Melhores Cumprimentos,

Leão Fernandes and family.

Subject: [SALIGAONET] Condolences - MY AUNTIE

Remembrance:
Auntie Ida a wonderful younger sister of my father Faust who married my mother
Doris on her 25th birthday on the 4th of February at Our Lady of Arabia Church
in Kuwait will always be specially remembered by me as a great loving auntie.
When I was a child and boarder at Lourdes Convent she would make beautiful
dresses with pockets and frills for all my birthdays. I was so excited to have
a new dress from my aunt and the only married sister of my dad and the oldest
sister became a nun Sr. Angelica of Ajmer. Next day I would wear it again and
go over to her place for Marjie's birthday dinner and all my cousins are also
there and Auntie Ida would decorate my hair and put colourful glittering hair
clips full on my golden hair and give me lots of matching bangles and rings.
Till today you will see shinning clips/scarves on my hair, rings on all my
fingers, plenty of bangles and all kinds of jewellery/hats made and worn by me
and I think of my dad's younger sister. I am her only niece wearing jewellery
and fancy dresses matching every occasion. Auntie Ida loved jewellery and
sewing and cooking.

Thank you my best friend Annette for remembering my aunt and cousin and what
they had done for you before and now.

Yesterday was a very sad day for our de Mello and Figueredo families as we all
bid farewell to Auntie Ida. My cousin reports to us who could not attend her
funeral service that it was beautiful and the church was packed. They missed
all of us very much who could not be there yesterday, however they were so
happy that my younger brother made it and is in Goa for 3 days to represent us.
We all cannot believe that Auntie Ida is no more. Our families met so many of
my dad's relative after years and some of whom they couldn't recall. They
couldn't tell us how much they all missed my mother Doris and my father Faust
too at the funeral. My dad would attend everybody's funeral and sing. The
priest who preached put it very aptly, that they have not passed away but are
still alive, however they've only changed residence. That was really consoling
to all the de Mello and Figeredo families. But we continue to grieve.

I wish my deep sympathies to my loving cousins as we call them Marjie, Jenn and
Babush who like me have now no parents today and the de Mello families
specially Uncle Casmiro who loved his youngest sister so much and saw her
suffering at home till the end. Uncle Casmiro a well known priest in Goa and
Bombay at Sacred Hearts, St Anthony's and Victoria Churches. Now she is at
peace with no more pain and we our family can only pray for her soul to rest in
peace. And my prayers are for all our Figueredo and de Mello families so the
lord gives us strength to bear the loss by saying "thy will be done". Enternal
rest grant unto her Auntie Ida O'Lord and her soul rest in Peace.

Love and Prayers,
Belinda

Subject: [SALIGAONET] Condolences - Demise of Mrs. Ida Figueredo, Donvaddo -
6/5/2009
Date: Wed, 6 May 2009 05:47:43 +0000

We were very sorry to hear of the demise of our friend & neighbour - Mrs. Ida
Figueredo- in Donvaddo early this morning, and wish to convey our heartfelt
sympathy to the bereaved family - Marjorie, Jennifer, Alan & their respective
families.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the families for the eternal repose of her
soul.

Annette, Luwell & Ashley

A special personal remembrance from my side:

- 27 years ago in this first week of May, I counted on Mrs. Ida Figueredo's
experience & kind heart, & the good lady very willingly helped me with my
head-dress at my wedding. May her soul rest in peace.

-In the latter years, Marjorie has been a great help to my family because of
her nursing experience, coming to our aid even in the late hours of the night.

With much appreciation. My condolences again!
Annette
