Dearest Marj, Jen and Alan, Fr Casmir and not forgetting the rest of the D'Mello family
It is sad to read that your mum has left us as well. Please accept my deepest sympathies on the loss of your mum and loving sister. Your families and mine have always been close and seeing them all go and leave us is very upsetting. This came as a complete shock to read of her death and she will be greatly missed. She shared my name and she used to always tell me that she was senior Ida and I was the junior especially when I first was taken to see her as a little girl of 5 with my mum. I have very fond memories of her and will cherish them always. It is never the same going to Goa and visiting Saligao now as it is the cemetery that you go and say a prayer to all of them at and that is so sad. I met Auntie Ida last in 2007 and I am not looking to my visit when I go up those stairs and she won't come down with those dogs to say hello Ida. I shall miss her and she will always be special to me in her own special way. Father I know you will miss your sis who you were so close to but God knows his plans and we just got to accept them. Who knows they must all be together in heaven hopefully while we are still struggling here on earth. May her soul rest in peace. Also to the cousins - the De Mellos - whom I also know well. The loss of a parent is not an easy one to bear, and all I can offer is a prayer to help you through this time of loss and grieving. Hang in there through this difficult time. Allan are you still in SJ?
