Dear Friends and fellow Salgaokars,

We have in the resent past witnessed many accidents, and invariably traffic
jams all the time at the Aulla junction in Saligao. Now to make matters
worse, we have seen 3 Gaddas come up along the Government Primary School on
the market road, that to grouted to the ground in cement. One of them
already existed for a few months, the other 2 came up over night in the last
two weeks. Vehicles park right on the road since there is no parking
available and the traffic jams are chaotic.

Well our communidade has given them an NOC to do so. I wish to ask, if we
look at Saligao as an upcoming village and work in a manner that caters to
the growing population of not only humans but vehicles also, or are we being
narrow minded and self centered. I do know that often the Panchayat and
Communidade bend under pressure, but this cannot be at the cost of life.

By these Gaddas coming up we are inviting a disaster which will be fatal.
The Aulla junction caters to a huge amount of traffic not only from Saligao
but Calangute, Pilerne, Parra and the Coast that uses Saligao as a route to
go beyond. It is for us to wake up now and act. The fatal disaster may claim
a life of an innocent person.

We need people to join us to bring to the notice of both the Communidade and
the Panchayat the risk these Gaddas are to life. Please mail me or send a
letter addressed to the Communidade / Panchayat to have these Gaddas moved.
Ashley will post a picture of these Gaddas, and you will see the type of
chaos it is causing.

Regards,
