Dear Fredrick, Just for your information, we at the Saligao Communidade, have documented many such cases and have put them to the Town & Country planning department, with copies sent to varioujs offices for follow-up and action. The only follow-up that took place, was for the Collector directing the BDO (mapusa) to look into the matter. Recently we had reported illegal structures that were built in fields, but no action was taken was taken by anyone...! I am seriously thinking of filing a PIL in the High Court if nothing happens...either this or they should ammend the TCP act and give more powers to the local bodies to take action.
I also take this opportunity to thank you for the good work that you do in many areas. I for one have benifitted from some of the info you have posted on Saligao-net.
