Saligao institute once upon a time was a place for enjoyment. Every evening we visited the institute to play carrom ,badminton or table tenis. The old fogis did not like the youngsters playing these games and instead of moving out their tables somewhere where they would not get disturbed they would drive out the youngsters out from the club premises. This was actually not a wise thing so much so that the youngsters stopped coming to the institute and sometime back when I visited the place I found only the caretaker lady washing and cleaning the floor. I am not aware of any activity taking place in the institute as we are all kept in the dark. I am a life member but I do not even get a circular to attend any meetings. I doubt whether the managing committee will even know that I exist as a member. Albert de Souza
