There was an accident at Sonarbhat on Friday evening. A schoolboy driving a jeep rammed into a wall near the tollem. Both the ambulance (108) and police arrived, quite fast -- thanks perhaps to new communication technology. But the long-term issue is how we make these spaces safer, as a lot of kids play around the inner roads of the village, even as the new trend is to have (some) vehicles speeding by.
