Dear Dilip, Are you sure the homes "were full of life, music and relatives"?
Given the story of Goan migration, and what I've seen myself, many homes
were built by people who slogged half a world away in the hope that they
would one day return home. But their owners usually returned when old enough
to see the next generation migration out again. This cycle continued over
long. When will it ever end? FN
