Dear Saligoankars, I live in Salmona Vaddo. Enroute to the springs before Philip Vaz house. I write to draw attention to : 1. illegal Structures with 20 feet high boundary walls 2. No required set backs 3. Hill cutting 4. Low level area filling 5. Tree cutting in orchard land 6. Conversion of orchard land to settlement to build bungalows for sale (not individual personal home) 7. Large scale dumping of plastic bags from cement - over 3000 bags as being used in the construction on saligao, thermocol and packing material, paint left overs varnish etc etc 8. Establishment of labor colonies of 30+ labor living on hillside for construction without providing for toilet facilities for them hence the human fecal matter being washed downward in rainy season (last 2 rainy seasons) into our drinking water well. 9. Large scale tree cutting - ilegally from the site and establishment of cutting machines which make tree wood to planks right at the site causing immense noise pollution for months on end.
It is over 2 years we have put in complaints to panchayat, TCP, BDO , Calangute Police station regarding the Illegal Structures being built by Mumbai Builder Mr Sumeet Chopra with a goan architecture firm. Of course to no avail . We were new to Goa in the year 2007 and did not know of rules of Hill cutting when we saw the bungalow that Mozaic has designed , saw a huge chunk of the Hill being cut by JCB machines to create the much needed necessity($%^) - A swimming pool. The hill that was cut is dumped on the site opp to this Sumeet Chopra bunglow in Salmona, today this dump is being leveled. Material - as red stone cement and sand was provided by Mr Chopra to Salmona locals who built a single room in rain water drain next to 106/6 salmona as Maybe he wished to prove that villagers were living in the area and al that forest and orchard area is actually settlement...this was 3rd week Nov 2011 I was ensuingly attacked in braoid day light on Saligoa porvorim main road by one Mr Kalicharan of Sonar bhat witha crow bar who smashed my car windshield..... So its welcome to Saligao.... All above matters brought to notice of Deean Dr Cruz, Ashely Dean , Jack - panch, Bhola Sarpanch Panch and Mr Parulekar since over 2 years.... and Mr fedreick norohona in last 6 months so here's to all very honest good sons of Goa ....
