Dear Fr. Nascimento Congratulations to you on the 42nd Anniversary of your
ordination as Priest. It is really apt that your book "Land of the Sal Tree"
is being launched today. I have just seen a copy and I must say that it looks
really great! Congratulations and a big thank you to you for all the efforts
you have taken in collecting material, researching, interviewing and writing so
much all these years, ever since your first essay "Miku My Friend - A Tribute"
posted to SaligaoNet (courtesy Daniel de Souza) on August 22, 2001.
Congratulations also to Mel D'Souza (his illustrations in the book are
absolutely delightful!), Frederick Noronha, Valmiki Faleiro and everyone else
who contributed to making this book a reality.
Fr. Nascimento, I wish you good health of mind and body, and pray for you
today that the Lord may grant you the strength and the will to continue doing
your great work -- both pastoral and literary -- for many more years to come.
