I refer to my mail regarding previous donor lists being circulated around the 
globe. I also earlier touched on the point that Minton & Schubert made about 
"The local / touristik authorities should be asked to contribute"  & which I 
thought was being done, & threw in about "Tourism Minister being from Saligao" 
(would have thought it would be easier without it being regarded as favours or 
handouts because of the word "heritage").  So guess some of us are on the same 
wavelength including May.  
 
I am sure most Saliganvkars at Home & Abroad would have received by now an 
"Appeal" made by the Funds Raising Committee of the Church requesting help & 
generous donations to complete the final & 5th phase of ongoing renovation 
etc..  If not, I can get the same sent to you all through this Net if the 
"Fathers" or "Incharge" of this Net allow this, or they could send it too 
seeing that they are also in Saligao & would have a copy.
 
Reproduced below is the request, ...however, the "Appeal" (giving details & the 
way in which donations could be made) is not with me at the moment....... so??? 
 Rico, perhaps you could lend a hand here???

The Parish Priest Fr. Luciano Fernandes, on recommendation from Fabrica de 
Igreja de Saligao and the Parish Pastoral Council has appointed a Fund Raising 
Committee for the ongoing fifth and last phase of our project of renovation of 
church and residence. The committee has been authorized to raise funds for this 
project in line with the enclosed Appeal.
The committee consists of the following members:
1. Fr. Luciano Fernandes (Parish Priest/President of Fabrica)
2. Mr. Dominic Andrade (Convenor)
3. Mr. Rudy Saldanha (Secretary)
4. Mrs. Marilyn Vaz
5. Mr. Thankachan M.

The Fund Raising committee sincerely expects all support and cooperation from 
all our Saliganvkars, Benefactors and Friends.
