Dear Sir,
Smart Card is an initiative by the dealer to leverage technology in refill delivery system. However same has got nothing to do with existing laid down procedures of HPC and will not have an impact on refill supplies to any consumer. Any genuine consumer making IVRS booking will keep on receiving his supplies irrespective of smart card possession.

Arvind Singh

>>> Gerard Delaney <[email protected]> 6/10/2013 12:14:53 PM >>> Dear Mr. Arvind Singh, Yesterday we conducted our monthly meeting of the Consumer Cell in Saligao, and the topic of _Smart cards for the HP gas_ was hotly discussed. The following points came up which I am bringing to your kind notice:

 * Only one camera is being used by the gas supplier Mr. Kavlekar and
it is taking very long to get the work done. People are standing in
the queue from 6 a.m. onwards and have to wait for at least 4 hours.
Word has gone around that this work has to be completed by the end
of this month and that those who don't have a Smart card will not be
given a refill. This is creating a lot of apprehension and anxiety
in the minds of the consumers.
 * Some consumers have changed the name of their connection for one
reason or the other, and after having waited in the queue for so
long, they have been told that their current name is not in the data
bank and so they must contact Mr. Kavlekar. These people could not
meet him and are confused about what to do.
 * There are so many senior citizens in Saligao aged more than 80
years, who have the Gas connection in their name and they are
struggling to get this work done.

The Consumer Cell now requests you very sincerely to look into the matter and come to our help. We have all gone through a harrowing time in getting the KYC done, and then in making our Aadhar cards done and linked to it. The people are in no mood to have to again go through another laborious procedure and so there is a need to speed up and streamline the process. This means that more cameras must be installed. Special time and consideration must be given to Senior citizens to help them make their cards.

We request the ever helpful Sarpanch of Saligao Mr. Eknath Oraskar who has already offered his hall to Mr. Kavlekar, to convene a meeting with you, Mr. Kavlekar and the Cell Committee members to expedite the matter.

Thanking you in anticipation,

Yours sincerely,

Mr. G.Delaney,
(President, Saligao Civic and Consumer Cell.)
