I assume you are still using the older ADSL modem of BSNL itself? I
remember seeing that a month ago.
sometimes when the signal is los - the older ones fail to pick up the
DSL signal and it requires a hard rest. you can rectify this by buying a
new modem.
this can also happen if the old modem adapter has been replaced. the
switchover time causes these things to hapen. try putting your modem on
the UPS instead of direct on the mains.
I have not suffered from any major disruptions at all for long now;
since i do a lot of cleaning of the wires and keep a check on all these
factors.
