Dear all: Just heard today of the death of Dr Cuncolienkar, who served the village of Saligao always a smile on his pleasant face, from his office at Padmanabh's Building in Arrarim.
Strange how time flies; I can remember his arrival in the village and launching practise here as if it was yesterday... it must have been the 1970s. After awhile, he shifted base (to Mapusa, I think), but would continue his practise in Saligao, visiting here almost each evening. Whenever we faced a health crisis, he (together with the Walke couple, of whom Dr Mrs Walke still practises at the Saligao Tinto) would be our refuge. Ramesh Ghadi has penned a tribute to him on Saligaonet @ Facebook. He was a nice man. We will miss him. Condolences to the entire family but specially to his son Ajay, my good friend some years back when we were part of a free software network in Goa.
