On Saturday evening, April 5, 2014, Basil D'Cunha, who heads the Diocesan
Cell on Career Guidance, came to the SI at 4.30 pm and set up his laptop
and digital projector.

The SI hall was already set up for 40 children. There was a power failure
at that time, and power resumed at 5 pm, and so his talk commenced then.

Only 15 children and five members from the Managing Committee attended.

President Brig Ian da Costa welcomed the speaker and the attendees and
asked everyone present to pay rapt attention to Basil, who is an expert in
this field.

The talk was brilliant and Basil involved all the children by asking them
questions. His coloured slides made everyone appreciate the points he made.
His talk lasted for fifty minutes.

The President thanked Basil for his very illuminating talk and for coming
from Panjim to deliver the same. The President expressed regret that few
children had come. Those who missed the talk will regret it very much. This
is inspite of wide publicity on Saligao-Net, posters, telephone calls and
word of mouth publicity.

Basil was given two thank you gifts by the Vice President Isa Vaz and
Treasurer Cyril Coelho.

God bless Saligao and all its people

Brig Ian da Costa
President
