Lawrence Fernandes, known to us as Francis, when we were on Das Island, Abu Dhabi UAE.
A rather soft spoken man, always with an affectionate smile, and a Joker too, then. used to cross paths with him and his wife when down in the village. What I remember best of him was his Excellent Skills at Field Hockey. Earlier, he was probably from Bandra or nearby maybe but had a Hockey Players Class of his own. Popular on the Island and this is where I first met him. Sad news really. What a way to go. Another Face to remember often and a soul to Pray for. Rest in Peace Francis. Maxwell C.
