I am pleased to report that my bike has been found in verna!!!!!

I was alerted by this news item this morning, and chased down the phone
number of the verna Police Inspector Uday Parab who confirmed that it
was indeed my bike which was recovered.
shockingly, the culprit, is a man by the name of Anthony cardozo from
Kobravaddo, Calangute along with 5 minors (names withheld by police)
from nagoa, margao, etc.....
Surprisingly, the police in the saligao Police station till this evening
seem blissfully unaware about this development even refusing to
acknowledge that they had received a wireless from the verna PS about
the theft (the PI of verna told me via phone he had informed the saligao
PS yesterday evening). makes me wonder why they are so reluctant to give
out information, or are they expecting some bakshih???
I have absolutely no clue how to get the bike back from the police, the
cops from both police stations tell me to go to court - but noone knows
which court, what i have to do etc....
will keep you updated, as this story could turn out to be tale of
corruption :-)

As i mentioned in my mail. the police have been informed. however they
say that if the bike is not recovered within 24 hours, they will
register an FIR.
I have informed the local panch members and a few other locals around,
as I suspect this is very much the handiwork of a local or migrant who
knows the movements.

Sorry to hear about this.
Please register a complaint with the Saligao Police Station.
Years ago our unlocked M80 was stolen from outside Lourdes
Convent, in broad daylight, during election time, as part of
political vendetta.
We immediately filed a police complaint and the bike was
'discovered' 8 days later, thrown into some bushes in a field in
Arpora. Minor wilful damage, but we got the bike back.
We hope you get yours back too. Anything else we can do, please
feel free.
