Tried phoning 1912. They were most polite, but told me they could only attend to power failures. (The two-minute power 'cut' had meanwhile ended.) They gave me Porvorim electricity's phone number. The person there sounded more like a departmental man. He told me that Saligao had had many, many problems the previous night too. "Talk to the (electricity) staff during the daytime hours," was his suggestion.
