Regret to inform the death of a popular figure in our part of Saligao: Jaivant, who long served as the peon at the Lourdes Convent. Many of us would remember him. Jaivant, whose name was often pronounced as Zoivont, was recently suffering from a kidney failure. He was active till recently in the school, and many of us grew up seeing him in its environs on a daily basis. Our condolences to the family, and surely he will be missed by all who knew him, specially at the school.
