This is sad news. Our condolences to Jaivant's family. Yes, he served Lourdes Convent for many years and that he did well.
I remember him as a very dedicated staff member at LCHS. I was fortunate to meet him too on my last visit to the school.
Can still picture him walking into the classrooms with the pile of class registers on his left arm, and giving them out as he
walked from one clasroom to the next, and during exams, we students would wait to see Jaivant coming in with the question
papers, rolled and tied with a white thread. Remember him ringing the school bell most of all !!

Regret to inform the death of a popular figure in our part of Saligao:
Jaivant, who long served as the peon at the Lourdes Convent. Many of us
would remember him.
Jaivant, whose name was often pronounced as Zoivont, was recently
suffering from a kidney failure. He was active till recently in the
school, and many of us grew up seeing him in its environs on a daily
basis.
Our condolences to the family, and surely he will be missed by all who
knew him, specially at the school. FN
