Hi SaligaoNetters

Guess you all are recovering after the Holy Week Services & Easter Celebrations!

Subject (above, before my my addition of course) had me grinning.
Albert writes ..... Kevin answers, Annette writes .....anyone there? anyone answering?

From: "Denis De Souza" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

Dennis? You were associated with some form of sport, cant remember which! Yeh, who doesnt know the Voltar & Peggy's corner?...we had to stand by your fence whilst waiting for transport to Panjim but I had more conversations with your Dad than with you.

Is this the same Albert who lived next to the Convent?

Of course it is! Who else? Since Albert hasnt written in yet, thought I'd give you the answer.

> ....rants and Annette getting drawn into the fray.

Kevin! Huh? Drawn? Fray? - Just setting the facts straight Kevin, & in doing so needling others in the hope that they will make their postings, havent been that successful, my needling charm is not working I guess!!!

At times, Rico must wonder why he started this list in the first place! Christie ...

Dont know about the others, but I for one, am glad we have Saligaonet because I get all the news through it since the Goa newspaper reaches us a day late which means would not have know about Alfred & many other bits & pieces over the years. Even Fiona is sometimes surprised that I already know things that she just heard about. And I have made contact on a personal basis with Saliganvkars whom otherwise I would never have met. Didnt even know where Christie, Richard, Louis, Ivy, Grace etc. had reached.

>Just today, Patricia (Vaz) came over to my clinic and we were chatting about home, SaligaoNet and Alfie.

Hey Kevin! Patricia chatted with you & you didnt get her onto the SaligaoNet? I've tried but had no success - she prefers to just "chat" as I get her online often & she's always in a hurry but I do get all the news. Guess she would join the "silent" SaligaoNetters.

posted an Easter message to the list but it bounced back.

wonder why this happens, happened to my postings too!

>Also, I've heard that Allan Saldanha, my ex-classmate and friend is not
>doing very well with a back ailment.

When did this happen? Well if not for this Net, wouldnt have known anything as the last time I met Alan ( maybe a few years before, Alan was riding a scooter) But then back & knee ailments come on very quickly (who would know that better than I) & can render one immobile quickly too.

(Not Saligao-related but perhaps our Saliganvkars will find this snippet useful (from experience - my mother's & mine) to those over 40, start light exercises (that is if one is not into exercising) at the first twinge of pain in back & joints, one can stave off the stiffness, & strengthen the muscles which support these areas, followed by physiotherapy which will then delay the immobility & a host of related problems. Ballroom Dancing is the best & mildest form of exercise for the back (avoid the limbo dance of course & all those poses & stances where the hotshot jiver turns his partner over his arm - phew!) & one can get enjoyment from it & the benefits.

Hope you are all enjoying the weekend. We've had a hectic one but enjoyed it - yeh dancing at the various parties since Thursday. Looking forward to the dancing next weekend too that is if my knees & back allow me to.

Ta ra
Annette
