With deep regrets I wish to inform the
Saligaonetters the sad and untimely demise of my good friend and neighbour
Albino de Souza, Nigvaddo. He passed away this evening after a brief sickness.
His funeral will be held on Saturday the 22nd July at 4.30
pm in the evening. He is survived by his beloved wife Annette, daughter Audrey
and son Albert (Abu-dhabi). He is the brother/brother-in-law of Philip/Annie
(AbuDhabi), Lino/Antonieta (Canada).
He was the former Attorney of the Saligao Cummunidade and
later went on to occupy the post of the Administrator of Bardez Communidades.
The Saligao Youth Club (now defunct) was founded by him together with the late
Euleterio D'Souza which organised the All Goa Gold Cup football tournament in
the early seventies. (Soon after the famous Bandodkar Gold trophy).
I extend my heartfelt sympathies to his bereaved
family.
