It has been a while since there has been any good news on this Net. I'm
glad that Rico gave us the opportunity to make a posting.
Just this morning I got this piece of news from Fiona when I called home.
With Dr. Zelio having a clinic once a week in Saligao, many sufferers from
Saligao & even from Mapusa have consulted him. We have full confidence &
faith in him (by this I mean my family) & have been consulting him for our
various bone problems for a good number of years now whether in Saligao,
Panjim or Bambolim. I have recommended him to others too. This afternoon,
Dr. Zelio is carrying out a procedure in Saligao - Measurement for Bone
Density.
On behalf of my family & myself, I take this opportunity to congratulate Dr.
Zelio. May God Bless him abundantly!

Dr Zelio D'Mello back from Singapore
PANJIM: Dr Zelio D'Mello, Associate Professor of Orthopaedics, Goa
Medical College Bambolim, recently attended teh 5th Asia Pacific
Conference on Knee and Hip Joints Replacements held at Singapore from
August 14 to 20. He had the opportunity to meet and interact with the
best orthopaedic surgeons from different parts of the world.
He was one of the few delegates from India who attended the meet and
the only one from Goa. In Singapore he also had the opportunity to
learn a few advanced techniques in joint replacement surgeries.
Dr D'Mello who has been performing hip and knee joint replacements for
the last three years with good results, at the request of the Goa
Doordarshan performed a live surgery at the Goa Medical College,
Bombolim, which was telecast on August 9. He is the only Goan doctor
to undergo specialized training in knee and hip joint replacement at
Mumbai under the late Dr K T Dholakia who was a pioneer in joint
replacement surgery in India. (ENDS)
