Dear Annette and fellow Saligavkars,
Thanks for "welcoming" me onboard Saligaonet, and really looking forward to
contribute regularly henceforth...
I have grown up in Sonarbhatt (behind Green Bar, next to late Aunty Lavina's
house). Along with my parents, I later shifted to Nigvaddo (the house just
behind Holy Cross chappel). My parents, Meena (Milagrina) and Cyril live there,
whereas since the past 4 years I was based in Pune. It has been 3 months now
that I have come here to Dubai, Karama. I also happen to be Daniel D'souza's
(Vasco) cousin...
Just came home after a refreshing weekend trip to Umm Al Quwain... Was amazed
to find " Goan prawns curry" on the room service menu there and disgusted after
tasting it! It has made me miss Goa and my mom even more.:-(
Ashley, may be you can give me some tips as to which would be the recomended
format i.e JPEG,Bitmap or other by which there would be minimum problems
viewing the attachments.
Take care everybody and have a nice weekend,
Brgds,
Savi:o)

Hi SaligaoNetters,
My subject title is self-explanatory especially as I could copy it from
Savio's email ID, verbatim - cooool! ... But I will repeat - welcome Savio
from Nigvaddo/UAE. Glad to note that you have decided not to remain the
"silent" Saligaonetter. Nigvaddo? ... from which house or family? UAE? ...
which part of UAE?
Thanks for the contribution but sorry! Was not able to get my quota of
amusement for today as I couldnt open any of the attachments whether in word
or Adobe .... nothing new, usual gibberish appears on my screen at times.
Wonder if I'm the only one having such problems here. Am glad that you
Savio, voiced an opinion on this Net as I just made a posting wondering why
nobody had any comments on the topic "underground cables & shocking
news"....I was really surprised. In fact I feel that this is a concern for
all & should supercede the topic about petrol pump etc. What's the use of
a petrol pump or anything else for that matter if all Saliganvkars are going
to be shocked into oblivion?

Huh! you can say that again, Savio! "keeping Saligao alive" & as a
consequence, the Saligaonet, is something that will have to be done
literally & figuratively. So it is a suggestion, request, plea for action
eh? We have M&M to thank for making us aware of the problem through
Saligaonet.
Have a great day, all of you out there.
As for me, I'm gonna hve a quiet, restful (hopefully), but extremely hot
weekend. Temperatures soared & are still soaring.
Regards
Ciao
Annette
