It is a matter of concern that the quality of life in our cities is deteriorating by the day due to lopsided development, as a result of improper planning and lack of enforcement of the existing laws. Besides, the citizens who are the main stake holders do not get involved in the development of their cities/villages either due to lack of awareness, apathy or failure to understand the planning process. The GBA is organizing this programme precisely to make the people of Goa understand exactly how their cities and village planning areas are being planned, specially now when the ODPs are again being thrown open to the public, and should not be taken by surprise only after a certain development takes place which is detrimental to their quality of life and the environment. This day long programme will be held at the Kala Academy in Panaji on Wednesday 3rd October 2007 from 10.30am to 7.30am The Exhibition will be open the whole day and the Presentations will be held in three sessions at 3.30 pm, 5.00 pm. and 6.30 pm, in order to make it convenient for all people, working and others, to attend.
